You are welcome to join us!

The Business End

Our meetings start with a patriotic song, the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.
Then our President brings up business and current topics for general discussion.
At times we have members of our sponsored youth attend to recognize them for their
outstanding progress and achievements. Often, we have fellow Kiwanis guests
from around the world who are traveling. They share with us about
their club and it becomes great international fellowship!

The 'Fun'-raising End

We have some 'fun-raising' at our meetings which is much less painful than 'fund' raising because
we have devised enjoyable ways of filling the treasury. Fines are set for things
like forgetting to wear your pin or badge or coming late to the meeting.
Members also pay for the privilege of being recognized on their birthday and anniversary.
We also share a bit about our lives with 'Happy' and 'Sad' dollars.

Guest Speakers
Kiwanis is also educational.
Meetings often include a guest speaker. Many of our speakers are
business people from our own community who talk to us about their professions,
hobbies or interests. Other speakers represent different charitable and/or health organizations,
our state legislature, police officers (crime update/problem areas), school personel, world travelers, etc.
