My name is Capt Steve Jones. I am from Pensacola, Florida. Last year
was the first year I used any of your Merlin lures. I am pleased to say
that it was one of the MOST succsessful years I have ever had
billfishing!
My boat "Inspiration" captured the following: Top Boat in the mens divisionTop Boat in
the ladies divisionTop Tag & Release boat in the ladies & mens
division1st place Blue Marlin 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places in the Wahoo, Dolphin
and Tuna catergories in several tournaments. My wife "Page" took Top
Tag and Release Angler and Top Angler.
We owe it all to Merlin lures.
I have billfished for over 20 years here and other countries and never
had such a year with fish hitting only a specific type of lure. I
fished last year like any other year with proven lures that have caught
many billfish just to see the fish go for a Merlin lure. We tagged 10
billfish and hooked many more last season on the same lure. I have bought
several heads and numerous skirts for backups and have two rigged and
ready to go at all times. Of course we have had luck with other Merlin
lures but one specific type seemed to be the choice last season.
We tagged more billfish in one season than any other boat. We broke
numerous records in the Pensacola area.
