	The Hawaiians ate mostly vegatables and poi and supplemented their diet with fish and over 30 varieties of native limu (seaweeds). Noni and kukui were the most important herbs used to treat many different ailments. Noni (Morinda Citrofolia) is an evergreen, fruit-bearing tree originally from Asia that has spread throughout the world in almost all tropical and sub-tropical regions. The earliest writings are from India where Noni (Indian Mulberry) was a highly respected part of Ayurvedic (Hindu) healing. Noni traveled westward through Melenesiam, Microesia and finally throughout Polynesia culminating in its arrival in Hawaii, which is, the youngest and most recently colonized island archepeligo on the planet. The newness of the Hawaiian archipelago and the Big Island of Hawaii in particular are the reason that our Noni are larger and more potent than all other Noni. Here on the Big Island it is common to see Noni plants growing in lava cracks. Noni is very successful in penetrating lava rock and extracting all the untapped nutrients from Earths newest land. In Hawaii, na Kahuna (traditional medicine men) used Noni for a wide variety of health problems. Noni, Morinda Citrifolia, was traditionally used to cleanse and purify, as a remedy against illness, as a well-being tonic, to aid digestion, to heal abrasions, to reduce swelling and inflamed joints and reduce pain. Nowadays, Noni is being reported as contributing to miraculous Life-changing health improvements with many conditions.
	Outside of the South Pacific and a few tropical environments, most of the world has never heard of the Noni plant, which can grow as high as 20 feet, has large evergreen leaves and small white flowers that develop into a small bumpy fruit.
